We are generally pretty cost effective in the supply of these tiles and we can help you measure up to get the details right in your tiles purchase
Choosing your Tiling Design
There are two main manufacturers of these reproduction Victorian floor tiles in the UK. All tile shops get these tiles from one or the other. Have a look through their websites on the links below and then get back to us when you have found your desired design or pattern. Also see our Pathways and Hallways and also perhaps run a Google search for “Victorian floor tiles” and go on the images.

2. Olde English Tiles

In deciding which of these two suppliers to go with, the Original Style tiles are cheaper but have less colors and a slight bevel on the corners. Their tiles are also all a little bit larger. So for example if you require small tiles for a black and white checkerboard pathway their little square tiles are 53x53mm whilst the Olde English ones are 50x50mm. It doesn’t seem like much but it does look a little better when they are smaller. The Olde English tiles also have many different tones and colors. Having said that, I usually use Original Style as the price difference is large and I believe the structure of the tiles to be exactly the same. The color range From Original style is also large enough to do almost anything you want. (Most of the pics on this website are Original Style)
Victorian tiles general info
These tiles (to me) seem to be somewhere between a hard ceramic tile and a porcelain. They are pourous and have a mat finish. They are not that slippery when in an exterior situation and are very hard wearing. The only main problem they have is that they stain easily. This can however be avoided with proper installation by the tiler and regular maintenance from the owner. See our maintenance guide.
These Victorian tiles come in wide range of colors and many different tiles shapes and sizes and you can take every design you see and make it your own. Many of our clients change individual colors within geometric designs to compliment exterior doors for pathways and color schemes for hallways etc. They also play around with the borders to make them truly unique.
