We have recently finished a huge project that spanned two large hallways and a bathroom floor featuring the complicated Chatsworth geometric Victorian tile design that incorporated the Wordsworth border.
We installed the Vario Pro underfloor heating for this one and all in all with the screed the preparation work took several weeks before tiling even commenced.
This project required extensive knowledge of the trade and screeding as the Old mansion house had a great deal of settlement with floors that were very different in level. Screeds where up to 5 cm thick in places and almost nothing in other places in order to achieve a flatness to tie the floors together.
The underfloor heating system was the Vario pro that allows the heating cables to slot in between the grooves of a specially designed decoupling membrane (similar to Ditra mat). We think this is probably the best heating system and recommend to check this product out on the link above.
The Chatsworth Geometric tile design
This is a complicated design to install and these darker colours in this one are better for a high traffic area as there will be less chance of staining. It a grand design that looks very traditional and the Livingston (Original Style decorative) produced tiles in this one really made the difference!
This one used the Wordsworth Border that although stunning is also very wide and can take allot away from the body tiles in narrower areas. It is also a very complicated border to turn corners etc.
